Northshore is well-connected with easy access to the CBD. Close to all major arterials, Northshore is accessible for people traveling from the North and South, and people arriving and departing from both the domestic and international airports. 

New bus service

Starting Monday 26 June 2017, TransLink has introduced a new trial bus service, route 304 to Northshore Hamilton. The bus service will operate between Doomben train station and Northshore Riverside Park including Hamilton Reach, Puma Energy Australia, Portside Wharf and The Hamilton developments.

The new trial route will give you:

  • 100 weekly services, Monday to Friday between 6am and 7pm 
  • Buses every 30 minutes during peak hours and every 60 minutes off-peak
  • Access the whole public transport network by catching the 304 to Doomben station and jumping on a train or to the Northshore Hamilton Ferry Terminal to catch the CityCat ferry.

CityCat update

In June 2015, the Brett's Wharf Ferry terminal was upgraded and the new terminal is  now located within the Northshore Hamilton precinct at the end of Racecourse Rd making it even more accessible for Northshore commuters.

From September 2014, additional CityCat services from the eastern Northshore Hamilton were introduced and a full service timetable is now operations. Now there are even more regular departures and arrivals for Northshore commuters - seven days a week.

There is parking available onsite making it ideal for park ‘n’ ride travel. Weekend services will also let you cruise the Brisbane River and explore Northshore’s parklands and café precinct.

A number of bus routes service the Northshore area.

Bus service 300 operates 7 days a week from the Racecourse Road and Brett's Wharf stops to the CBD and Cultural Centre. Frequency of its services increase during peak hours making it more convenient to get to and from the CBD.

Bus service 305 operates 20 times daily (Monday-Friday) to and from the CBD during morning and afternoon peak times

Bus service 303 (Monday-Friday mornings and afternoons) will connect you to the rail network at Doomben Railway Station.

Kingsford Smith Drive provides easy access to the Brisbane CBD.  Northshore residents and businesses will benefit from the future upgrade of Kingsford Smith Drive which will see the construction of two additional traffic lanes, as well as walkways and cycleways. The upgrade will improve the link between Northshore and the CBD and other arterial roads. For up to date information on the Kingsford Smith Upgrade works visit

The Gateway Motorway is located within a few kilometres of the site providing access to the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. Northshore is a short distance to major motorways including the ICB, Airport Link, and Legacy Way.
